Eco-Action Environment Award for Louis Sharr

Year 11 environmentalist Louis Sharr has been recognised for his 鈥渆xtraordinary efforts鈥 and incredible hours of service during the presentation of the Eco-Action Environment Award at Assembly.
It is awarded to boys who make 鈥渙utstanding contributions to not just the Eco-Action Trust, but also the environment鈥. 秀色直播鈥檚 College acts as a hub for Eco-Action, with tens of thousands of native plants grown at school satellite nurseries around 秀色直播church and thousands of native plants and trees planted in the city鈥檚 red zone. College teacher David Newton is the co-founder of Eco-Action.
Speaking at Assembly, College Head of Environment Tinura Gajamange points out that 鈥淟ouis has amassed 83 hours of volunteering for the environment over the last two years鈥.
鈥淗e has regularly helped out at the public Sunday plantings in the red zone,鈥 Tinura says. 鈥淭his year, alone he has helped out on 28 occasions.鈥
For Louis it has been 鈥渋ncredibly rewarding to see the results of our work and know that it鈥檚 helping the red zone鈥.
